Essence January 2023 CLOSING SOON!!

Expression frees the spirit to wander. In our exhibition titled Essence we invite you to explore how to express the essence of your subject. By capturing the essence of a person, feeling or object you can express the essential elements and distill what may appear complex into your own pure visual language.

Capture the essence of your subject by conveying only the essential elements. Strike a balance so you can communicate the essence of what you see through your composition. The essence of an idea or your model refined down to the simplest shapes & forms whilst still conveying the inspiration where you began.

Through the distillation of ideas communicate the essence of your subject.

Entries close 31 January 2023.

Artists over the age of 18 years from all countries are welcome. Artists working in all fine art mediums (oil, acrylic, water colour, gouache, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, digital art) except video.

In our experience artists benefit from seeking out platforms where they feel valued and respected. Where artists can share their work with confidence. The sharing of ideas not only allows more people to become familiar with an artists work but also enhances understanding between people. Especially on an international gallery platform such as this. The process of preparing to submit work for selection in juried competitions is a helpful learning experience for artists. Each step provides valuable skills that will eventually become second nature. It is helpful to review previous exhibitions to gauge the standard. The skill of looking at your own work critically can be difficult to master for a novice artist but it is vital to develop so you can recognise how your work is improving over time.

In My View February 2023 CLOSING SOON!!

The tradition of capturing still life compositions stretches back through the centuries. Artists know they are in the company of the great masters when they embark on creating a work of art depicting inanimate objects.

The focused study of an object in order to capture it in any media takes intense concentration. Every shape, each curve, line and shadow permits the artist a fresh moment in time to consider how they will interpret what they see. The outcome can feel like a magical experience when the form comes to life.

Artists are invited to submit their entries for consideration to participate in the In My View Art Exhbition. All media except video will be considered including 2D & 3D work, painting, sculpture, works on paper, printmaking, photography and mixed media.

Entries close 28 February 2023.

Each artist compels the viewer to feel the moment just as they themselves do sharing in the pure joy of expression. Simple choices such as a colourful colour palette transform a serious subject into a lighthearted one. Lifting the spirits in the process.

We invite you to share your playful nature and have fun as you explore where it leads you. Show how you interpret the idea of playing games through your creative work.
